WHEN WE MEET

Thursday nights at 7pm.  Address: Garden Spring Road, Kunkletown, PA

Perhaps you’ve passed this old dairy barn and didn’t give it much thought. But wait!

Light is streaming from inside. Balls are pinging and bouncing. Teenagers are everywhere, laughing, talking and playing. There is a live band playing from somewhere inside. You can hear singing. This is no ordinary dairy barn.

WHAT'S GOING ON?

These kids have found something here that they have been looking for. They all have a different story and a different reason for coming, but they have this in common:

  • They long to be loved for who they are and to belong to a larger 'family' that cares about what's going on inside of them.
  • They are looking to understand what makes them significant.
  • They want to know where their worth comes from.
  • They want to know how they can have impact in their world.
  • They want to know if they have what it takes.

We at THE BARN believe that God answers these most important questions through His Word, the Bible, His Spirit and each other. If this sounds like something you've been looking for, come join us. Together we will seek to love each other well and understand who we are in light of Christ's love for us.

OUR HISTORY - Randy and Deb Sheagley

The SheagleysIn April of 1989 we purchased an old dairy farm in the Pocono Mountains, but we had no interest in cows. Our passion was for young people--young people who were lost and needed to know they were loved by the God who created them--young people who knew this love and had a passion to share it with their friends. To help us, we joined the ministry of HiBA, later merging with TTW.  In the years passed we have had the incredible joy of seeing hundreds of kids come to know His love for them.

After many years of ministry our hearts have been deeply touched by the lives of the teens God has brought to us. We have watched as their struggle to remain lights in a darkening world has become more and more difficult. The problems they face are overwhelming. How can they trust in a God who loves them when they do not even know what trust or love looks like? They struggle with things like eating disorders, drugs and self-inflicted violence. They are full of shame and self-loathing.

We decided to go back to school and in May of 2002 we received our Masters Degree in Counseling from Philadelphia Biblical University with the purpose of being able to address some of these issues in a more effective way. The experience of going back to school has changed our lives and gave us an even deeper passion to love well.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
